AIM is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Netherlands, Unilever, DSM, AkzoNobel, Wageningen University and ICCO.
AIM was launched in May 2009 during the GAIN Business Alliance Global Forum and its goal is to eliminate malnutrition for 100 million people in Africa by 2015. AIM represents an opportunity to combine the know-how of major players in the food and nutrition industry in six countries: Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Ethiopia, Ghana and Mozambique.
